- Pediatric Surgery Physician Assistant Collaborative Surgical Care Team

Position Summary
TMCOne, in partnership with Arizona Pediatric Surgery, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our pediatric surgical team serving Tucson and Southern Arizona. This role supports the surgical side of the practice (not urology) and includes both hospital based and clinic responsibilities.
Position Highlights
Monday–Friday schedule
4 days in the hospital, 1 clinic day
6 days of call per month, taken from home
Collaborative pediatric surgery team providing high-quality care to children and families
Responsibilities
Perform histories and physical exams
Evaluate new patients with operative and nonoperative pediatric surgery needs
Manage follow up patients with nonoperative conditions (e.g., pectus carinatum)
Provide care for abscesses, stitches/drains, gastrostomy tubes, and stomas
Train in neonatal circumcision and manage related patient care
Assist with pre and postoperative care
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
Knowledge of PA practice regulations and prescribing guidelines
Ability to manage chronic care and discharge planning
Familiarity with CPT and ICD10 coding
Strong communication skills with patients, families, and care teams

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Arizona PA license (or ability to obtain)
CPR and DEA required
ACLS required (departmentspecific)
Two years of experience preferred, but not required
