Description
Gillette Children’s is seeking a Sleep Medicine physician in Saint Paul, Minnesota to lead our Sleep Lab as the Director. Gillette offers one of the nation’s only sleep medicine programs designed specifically for children, teens, and young adults who have disabilities and complex conditions. Gillette's Sleep Medicine team provides highly specialized care for patients with complex neurological, genetic, developmental, orthopedic, and respiratory conditions. The program serves as a regional referral resource and offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment of pediatric sleep disorders through both virtual and in-person care.
Practice Details:
- Virtual and in person care
- FTE: 0.7 to 1.0 FTE
- Phone calls/consults to the 5-state region
- Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine
- Opportunities for clinical research through Gillette
- Lead one of only two pediatric sleep laboratories in the Twin Cities metro area and one of the nation's few sleep programs dedicated to children and young adults with disabilities and complex conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists across neurology, pulmonology, rehabilitation medicine, respiratory care, and other pediatric subspecialties to support comprehensive patient care
Opportunity to help expand a growing program that experienced double-digit growth in patient visits and referrals over the past several years
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ACGME/AOA residency program
- Graduate of an accredited Sleep Medicine fellowship training program
- BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA
- Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- Experience caring for pediatric patients and/or individuals with complex medical conditions preferred
- Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, program development, and clinical education preferred
- The selected candidate must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin
