Envision Physician Services is seeking full-time Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians to join the team at UTMB Clear Lake Campus.

Requirements:

Board Eligible/ Board Certified Pediatric Emergency Physician

Should possess excellent clinical skills, communications skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team-oriented

Position Profile:

• 120 hours/month for full time
• 12 hour shifts / 10 shifts per month
• Average 11,500 pediatric patients annually
• EPIC EMR with Dragon and DAX CoPilot AI capabilities
• Independent Contractor status - Malpractice and tail insurance included

Hospital / System Support

• Level II Trauma
• Level II NICU
• Community PED with access to UTMB Pediatric medial & surgical subspeciality services
• 24/7 PEM physician coverage, no NPP supervision
• PED is located within the adult ED with private patient rooms, dedicated trauma and resuscitation bays, advanced imaging capabilities (X-Ray, 2 CT, Ultrasound, and MRI), a full diagnostics lab and respiratory services, telemetry monitoring, and support from ED Child Life specialists.
• New 15 bed Pediatric Med-Surg Unit & Intermediate Care Unit
• PICU located at UTMB Galveston
• Collaboration with Children's Memorial Hermann Critical Transport Team

The Clear Lake Campus offers 24-hour emergency care for children of all ages. UTMB Health in collaboration with Children's Memorial Hermann includes a Pediatric Emergency Department staffed by pediatric providers and nursing staff trained in pediatric care. Emergency Medicine is equipped with CT, X-Ray, ultrasound, and MRI capabilities, full diagnostics lab and respiratory services, as well as a telemetry monitoring system, enabling patients to have freedom of mobility.

UTMB Health and Children's Memorial Hermann have expanded the pediatric inpatient hospital and emergency services to the rapidly growing Clear Lake/Bay Area region. Pediatric and Emergency trained physicians work in hand with Pediatric Hospitalists in the new 15-bed Pediatric unit. This inpatient unit will provide a community-level of care for patients with medical or surgical health concerns requiring a hospital stay.

The new pediatric unit provides:

• Child life specialists who help patients and their families understand the care plan and manage any related stress
• Child- and family-friendly amenities such as a large play room, family lounge, artwork created by area school children, and an Xbox system in every patient room
• Spacious private patient rooms with an Xbox in each patient room
• Treatment room for procedures
• Wide array of pediatric subspecialists
• Pediatric emergency department staffed by pediatric providers and nursing staff trained in pediatric care
