- Pediatric Epileptologist
Description
Under administrative direction, diagnoses, treats, and manages pediatric patients suffering from central nervous system disorders. May also be involved in clinical research, clinical trials, as well as basic research and translational research.
Boys Town National Research Hospital is a unique specialty-focused hospital with strong emphasis in Neuroscience and Translational Research. Advanced diagnostic facilities are available to the Neuroscience team, including outpatient EEG/EMG, a 6 bed inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), 3T MRI, and state of the art Magnetoencephalography (MEG). The combination of a small inpatient service and lack of Emergency Room facilities allows BTNRH to maintain its strong specialty focused and multidisciplinary clinics, while providing ideal work-life balance for clinicians.
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school, required
Accredited Residency and/or Fellowship Training in Pediatrics, Neurology and Child Neurology leading to eligibility for Board Certification in the subspecialty of child neurology
Must be able to obtain and maintain Board Certification in Neurology with special qualifications in child neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Medical licensure in the State of Nebraska required
Post-fellowship experience preferred
Must be able to qualify for hospital staff privileges at Boys Town National Research Hospital and maintain those privileges.
